HICEV is another type of hydrogen vehicle which uses an internal combustion engine. Hydrogen internal combustion engine vehicles are actually dissimilar from hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in which the engine is just a customized version of the traditional gasoline-powered internal combustion engine. Modifications would consist of hardened regulators and valve seats, stronger connecting rods, higher voltage detonation coil, fuel injectors designed for a gas instead of a liquid and many more.
