Monash University offers a broad selection of courses and programs within 10 faculties which incorporate its major departments of teaching and research centers. The faculties include Art and Design, Design and Architecture, Law, Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology, Science, Business and Economics, and Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The courses are specially tailored for the students to gain entry into selected degree programs.
Previously, not much concentration was given on media studies, but Monash is now a major player in Communication and Media Studies. It offers various Communication courses at its Clayton campus that seems to reflect a variety of approaches to curriculum design and marketing. A generalist Bachelor of Arts degree, Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism are provided at the Gippsland campus of Monash to pursue studies in Journalism. A Bachelor of Communication degree is offered at the Berwick campus with principal areas including German, Korean, Spanish, Communication, International Studies and Philosophy. It also offers a Bachelor of Multimedia degree for the students who like to pursue a career in multimedia. The Peninsula campus offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Communication and a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication is available at the Caulfield campus.
