With the job scenes not looking so good and with the inflation hitting the ceiling, red wine lovers find it very hard to indulge in what they love so much. With vintage and expensive wines, it seems like a crime to consume such wines, which are so rare.
So here is a list of expensive wines which you can pick up from a shop, in a case of winning a lottery.
Romanee-Conti 1997: The super fine vintage red wine comes for around $1600. This is a French Burgundy that is beautiful, robust and rich; this rare vintage is the finest of the very rare Romanee Conti bottles. This is the most pure, aristocratic and an extremely intense Pinot Noir that you could ever dream of. It is not just nectar but is so good that it can be used as a yardstick to judge all other Burgundies.
Petrus Pomerol 1998: This fine vintage red wine can be fetched for around $1500. It is a beautiful dense color of purple. It can be approached now as one of the finest Merlot and is expected to reach its full drinking potential in 2012.
Chateaux Le Pin: This fine wine comes from the micro vineyard of the Thienpoint family. The wine is available in the market for $850. This is one of the finest of Bordeaux wines that is full bodied. This wine is known for the merits it has received for its terroir and there are no measures artificially taken to compensate its usage of mediocre grapes.
Chateaux Latour Pauillac 1990: Available for around $800 this beautiful creation comes from a famous vineyard where the soil is wonderful and rich. This wine took the rave review by storm when it had just come into the market. The wine burst with flavors of chocolate, licorice, cherry and caramel.
Chateaux Mouton Rothschild Pauillac 1986: Available for about $650, this fine red wine comes from the English wing of the prestigious Lafite Rothschild family. The family is known for creating the best of wines and with the Chateaux Mouton, the wine has a hint of chocolate, raspberry and spice that lingers on the palate after a good clean finish.
