A delightful delicacy which is very easy to prepare and has a tasty sweet glaze, a perfect dish for Christmas celebrations!
Turkey – 1 1/2 pound Apple jelly – 1/2 cup Cinnamon (ground) – 1/2 tsp Red pepper (ground) - 1/2 tsp Salt - 1/2 tsp
Preheat the oven to 325 F. Remove the neck and giblets from the cavity and place them in a roasting pan. Roast the turkey for about 2 ½ to 3 hours, till its skin is brown. Cover the turkey with aluminum foil and continue with roasting, till the temperature of the thigh is about 175 F; that is about half an hour more. Melt the apple jelly in a pot and add cinnamon and pepper to it. Apply the apple glaze to the turkey and broil for 3 minutes, 4 inches away from heat, till it is bubby and brown. Finally remove the turkey, cover it loosely with aluminum foil, keep it aside for half an hour and serve.
