Chocolate cookies rolled in sugar, what else can kids ask for? A fun way to celebrate Christmas with the family where the children can prepare these cookies with elder’s guidance.


Ingredients


Unsweetened chocolate - 4 squares (1 oz each) Sugar – 2 cups Vegetable oil - 1/2 cup Eggs – 4 All purpose flour – 2 cups Baking powder - 2 tsp

Vanilla - 2 tsp Sugar (coarse for rolling) - 1 cup


Method


Take the oil and chocolate in a saucepan and heat it on a low flame. Keep stirring till the chocolate melts and forms into a smooth mixture. Transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl and add eggs, sugar and vanilla. Beat the mixture, with an electric mixer, until it is blended and smooth. Mix the flour and make dough. Chill the dough overnight or for several hours in the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 180 degree C (350 degree F). Grease a parchment paper and line it in a cookie sheet. Place the coarse sugar in a flat plate. Using your hands, make 2 cm (1-inch) balls from the dough and roll it in completely in the coarse sugar. Place the balls on the cookie sheet at minimum, 4 cm apart. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, till they are sparkly and puffed, but little soft in the center. Remove, let them cool and the yummy cookies are ready to be served.
