When I went home to India, I called a few of my ex colleagues to let them know I was down. It so happened that they were going on a company paid trip to Goa and I was asked if I would like to go with them. I was totally excited and packed my bags and left.
We then travelled by train to Goa and settled in a lodge near Colva beach. With the sheer amount of foreigners here I felt I was still in Australia. Our group which was about twenty people found lodging near Colva beach and we let this be the point that we returned to just to go to bed. At Colva, a few of us tried the banana ride, which is a long tube on which five people sit and is tugged through the water by speedboat. At Calangute beache many of us took the water sports package that was Jet ski ride, banana ride and parasailing. My old friend Ravindra and I also went kayaking and I so totally enjoyed paddling into the sunset.
The most memorable thing in Goa for me was that I just wanted to walk from one end of Kolva beach to the other for which I started off at about 11 am and returned at 8:30 pm with a matchless tan. It seems that that entire stretch is more than one beach. This walk gave me sore feet to go with for the rest of the week.
